Basketball Intramurals

Congratulations to all of our students that competed in the intramural competition this past Saturday. Everyone played hard and it was a great tournament. The results are as follows:

Boys:
1st Place - Team 7 Ash Grey
2nd Place - Team 11 Royal Blue
3rd Place - Team 13 Navy

Girls:
1st Place - Team 7 Garnet
2nd Place - Team 1 Purple
3rd Place - Team 5 Jade

5th Grade Parent Meeting

5th grade parents are invited to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, February 24. There will be two meeting times, 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Meetings will be in the cafeteria at BB6.

Dillon Mata: Magnolia's Secondary Student of the Month

Dillon Mata was recognized at Monday's school board meeting as the Secondary Student of the Month. Dillon's teachers praise his incredible work ethic and his positive, respectful attitude. He is a remarkable student and we are all very proud of Dillon.

Our students competed in the district UIL competition this past Saturday. The students have been working hard to prepare for the competition and we congratulate all of our students on their participation in this academic event! Below is a list of the events and the winners.

Chess: Garret Mitchell - 10th, Gerald Dorame - 8th, Tanner Watts - 5th, Chad Coker - 4th and Cameron Nickens - 3rd.

Maps, Graphs, & Charts: Cheyanne Attaway - 10th, Mason Feldman - 8th, Kaylie Schoggins - 5th and Becca Mitcham - 3rd.

Ready Writing: Emerson Lee - 9th, Tyler Binkley - 4th and Adam Fenn - 1st.

Spelling: Gabe Esquivel - 10th, Chloe Battaglia - 9th, Jamie Holder - 3rd and Logan Stilson - 2nd.

Number Sense: Jada Shorter - 5th, Amber Hinkie - 3rd and Chase Alford - 1st.

Music Memory: Madison Lane - 2nd.

In recognition of National School Counseling Week, we would like to thank our counselor, Mrs. Lowry, for all that she does for the students and staff at BB6!! Thank you Mrs. Lowry!!

Talent Show!!

Come out and see our students in the annual BB6 Talent Show. It will start at 7 p.m. Ticket price at the door is $7 and if you purchase in advance $5. Hope to see you there!!

Our annual Talent Show Fundraiser will be February 3. Pre-Sale tickets are $5 until 2:30 on February 3. After that, the price will be $7 at the door. Please come out and support our students and enjoy a great show!!

Welcome back students!! We are excited for the new year and are glad to have you back in our classrooms. Only two weeks left in the first semester and then anyone taking a semester elective will begin their new elective on January 20. Please listen for announcements regarding any additional supplies you may need for your new class.
